Paul Douglas Isaac passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 2 , 2022, after a six month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Paul was born March 15, 1952, in Spanish Fork, Utah to Bert D. Isaac and Afton Laretta Brockbank Isaac. He was the fourth of six children.
Paul served a full-time mission in the Southwest Native American mission and loved the Navajo people. He married his eternal sweetheart, Pam on November 22nd, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple. Up until his cancer diagnosis, he and Pam were serving as missionaries for the Family Search Center and loved helping patrons discover their family history and genealogy.
Paul was a loving husband and father and a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Paul loved the Savior Jesus Christ and His gospel. If he had a hobby, it would be reading and marking the scriptures which brought him great joy and peace. He was a strong advocate for families and was very active in the lives of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and his wife Pamla have been married for 47 years. Pamla was the love of his life and eternal companion.
Paul is survived by his wife Pamla Mable Smith Isaac and four wonderful children; Brittany Isaac Brown (Jeremy Brown), Paul S. Isaac (Heather Diehl Isaac), Lindsey Isaac Nielsen (Rhett Nielsen) and Natalie Isaac Pease (Michael Pease). Paul and Pam have 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with 1 on the way. Preceded in death were his father and mother, Bert D. Isaac and Afton Laretta Brockbank Isaac and his older sister Barbara Isaac Mangrum.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 6pm – 8pm at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home located at 4335 West 4100 South in West Valley City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5658 W. Yukon Park Lane (12200 S), in Herriman. A viewing will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m., prior to the services. Interment will be at the Valley View Cemetery in West Valley City.
