Our loving, kind, and big hearted Natalie Dee Hansen passed away peacefully in her sleep in West Valley, Salt Lake City, on Friday, November 5, 2022. Natalie was born June 28, 1961, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sheila Payne and Deon Hansen. Having battled diabetes from birth, Natalie’s family is happy to know she is in heaven right now celebrating her grand return with family and friends eating all the sugary treats she could ever want.
Natalie was never able to have children but loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own. She was a second mother to all her nieces and nephews, and Grandma Natalie to all her great nieces and nephews. Natalie was always just a phone call away if anyone needed a listening ear. She loved her family with all her heart. Natalie was also known for her love of all animals; visiting Aunt Natalie’s house was as fun as visiting the zoo. Throughout her life she had fish tanks, birds, guinea pigs, lizards, and her turtle Myrtle. She was a loving caretaker to many dogs throughout her lifetime. She loved her dogs like they were her children. Her dogs Cricket, Lucy, Winston, and Miley were ones who left paw prints on her heart forever. She had a gift for crocheting, sewing and being able to make anything crafty. Natalie was also a great cook. She loved hosting family and friends especially for the annual “Frog Party”.
Natalie was blessed with the best when it came to finding her partner Michael. They shared many happy years together. He was her best friend and she loved him deeply. Our family would like to thank Mike for loving our sweet Natalie and making sure she always had the best care. We can never thank him enough.
Natalie was survived by her partner, Michael Wade, (Michael’s children) Chris Wade and Heather Wade, (Michael’s Grandson) Aiden Wade, Brother: Mike (Kim) Hansen, Sisters: Stacie (Kevin) Rasmussen, Melissa (Chance) Autrey. Natalie’s 6 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews, a host of friends, cousins, and all her beloved pets.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Sheila Payne, Deon Hansen, stepfather, Kenneth Payne, and her brother Jason Hansen.
