Myrtle Afton Wilson, age 94, passed away on December 24, 2020 in Tooele, Utah. She was born November 3, 1926 in Goshen, Idaho to Hugh D. Park and Leona Brookbush. She attended and graduated from Blackfoot High School. She married Robert G. Wilson on June 8, 1947 in Thornton Ward, Jefferson County, Idaho. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Afton loved all sports, including: archery, bowling, golf, basketball and especially her beloved Utah Jazz. She also loved jewelry making and family reunions. Afton was always on the go to new places to make new friends. She was and is a joy to all her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children: Robert J. (Kathy) Wilson, Charles Wilson, Nancy (Ron) Holmes and John (Elena) Wilson; siblings: Hugh (Joyce) Park and Patty (Carl) Capson; 26 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Afton was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Wilson, parents: Hugh D. Park and Leona Brookbush, siblings: Maxine Rowbury, Norma Hubler, Della Harris and Wayne Park.
In honor of Afton a funeral service will be Saturday, January 2, 2021, 2:00 pm at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. Interment to follow services at Valley View Memorial Park.
