Matthew Dale Gilson

Matt was born August 8, 1962 in San Diego, California. He married Cindy (Cynthia) in July of 1992 in San Diego.

Matt was an avid NASCAR and soccer fan. He was a season ticket holder for 8 years with RSL and was proud to be a part of the Section 26 Supporter Group. Matt took great joy in being a family man and was particularly proud of being a Dad to his son, Andrew. Andrew was his pride and joy, and Matt supported his son at every sporting event and endeavor throughout the years, his dedication was well-known among friends and family. Matt’s presence will be genuinely missed.

Cindy and Andrew would like to express their appreciation for the outpouring of support from their family and friends. They wouldn’t have gotten through this without them. They would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital for their care of Matt. A thank you to Matt’s employer, Carmax, for their continued support while Matt was sick.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Cindy and his son, Andrew.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Lindo Lakes Park, Picnic area 1 in Lakeside, California. Light snacks will be served.
