Mary Jane Roper was born on January 1, 1933 in Detroit Michigan. She is one of five children, Teresa, Mary Jane, Pauline, Marilyn and John born to Delphis Charles Zakrzewski/Bovert, who was born in Poland and, Marie Mable Trembley, born in Quebec Canada. Her parents immigrated to the United States after their marriage. They moved from Detroit when Mary Jane was a young girl to Los Angeles where she graduated from high school. She got a job with Pacific Bell Telephone Company and worked there for many years as a telephone operator.
She met the love of her life, Loyal Wayne Roper, at his brother's wedding. Since they fell in love Mary and Wayne Roper have been sweethearts for 57 years. They have three children, Susan, Nancy and Steven, 17 grandkids, 35 great grandkids and one due in December of 2016. She even has a great, great grandchild on the way.
When the love of her life passed away in 2010 she continued to be so gracious as to take many of her family and friends to Disneyland.
When she was baptized on April 3, 1966 into the LDS church she did not make it all the way under the water and so they had to baptize her again. Mary Jane loved to sing and do missionary work. Anything that she could do to help others she would. She served several missions and was a very dedicated member of the LDS church. She has passed on her family values to her children. She taught all of us to be united as an eternal family. Her unconditional love will be missed.
Love always your beloved family.
