He was born on May 10, 1964 in Tooele, Utah. He was the son of Betty and Harold Bergren. He married his loving wife Jeanette on October 10, 1998 in Las Vegas. They together raised four children Jayleen, Brittany, Michael (Candace), and Evelyn. Marty was a proud grandfather of Kayden Worster and Rylee Bergren. He is survived by his immediate family, his mother Betty Lou Bergren of Las Vegas, Nevada, and his three siblings Larry (Doniece), Terrel and Randal (Laura) of Las Vegas, Nevada. Also, by his many nieces and nephews who will forever remember their “Uncle Marty”.
Marty’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family. His favorite time of year was Christmas; He loved throwing the annual family Christmas party where his family would get together at his house, and enjoy one another’s company. In addition to the Christmas party he loved going up to Salt Lake City to enjoy the snow. If it wasn’t snowing or cold outside he loved camping and fishing with his family.
He was a proud employee of the Las Vegas Valley Water District where he worked as an Engineer Technician for 15 years. He had a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. He always encouraged his children to further their education, because “Knowledge is the only thing you will take with you when you go to heaven.”
He was a man that never thought of himself, but was always concerned about helping others. Everyone he met wanted to make him proud, and never let him down. He spent his life serving those he loved, as well as total strangers. He will be deeply missed by his family and everyone whose life he touched.
