Lynda Rae Boyd

Lynda Rae Petersen Boyd passed away on December 13, 2022 in West Valley, Utah surrounded by family. Lynda was born October 26, 1939 in Price, Utah to Wilma and Franklin Petersen. She lived and grew up in Spring Glen and Provo, Utah. Where she met and married John Horsley "Jack" Boyd on January 8, 1955. They had sons David, Larry, Johnnie and daughter Sherri. She attended Provo High School as well as Utah Technical College. She was a member of the Springville City Police dispatch before moving on to be Secretary for the Utah State Corrections Facility. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Lynda enjoyed many hobbies throughout the years. She enjoyed activities with her family as well as spending time in Wendover and the local Senior Center with friends. Don't forget her time spent at Jim's family restaurant. She lived a good life.

Lynda was survived by her loving children, David (Sherrill) Boyd, Larry Boyd, Johnnie (Jeanette) Boyd and Sherri (Blake) Halverson. Sister Kathi (James) Spraggins. 11 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is Preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Boyd, her parents Wilma and Franklin Petersen and grandson Eric Boyd.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 20, 2022 at 11:00am at Valley View Funeral Home 4335 w 4100 s West Valley City, Ut. 84120. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service at 10:00am-11:00am at Valley View Funeral Home. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
