Luis is survived by his parents Alfredo Duran and Karla Nere Rios, as well as his brothers Freddy Duran and David Perez. He is described by many as someone who projected peace, was caring, helpful and always had uplifting words. He was a great friend, son, brother and cousin who anyone could always count on.
His free and joyful spirit allowed him to live life the way he wanted to and enjoyed it to the best. Luis was a people person. He enjoyed being in touch with nature, playing video games and watching anime, his favorite one being Dragon Ball Z. Music was his passion and he loved singing, especially if he was drinking his favorite bottle... Hennessy. He also loved a good plate of 'Carne en su Jugo.'
As a kid, he was very energetic and spontaneous. He'd get lost and would hurt himself very often. At just 12 years old, he wanted to play a joke on his parents and grandparents and jokingly told them he was becoming a dad. Luis was very happy with who he was. He didn't find a need to impress anyone and held no grudges. He was a dreamer, full of ambition with many goals, such as becoming a basketball player for his favorite team, The Los Angeles Lakers. He wanted to be a successful man and was working towards accomplishing his goals but unfortunately was not able to continue.
God had other plans and called him home too soon to be reunited with his grandparents. We all have gained a loving and caring angel who will continue to watch over all of us.
He will be greatly missed and forever hold a place in our hearts.
Rest In Peace Luisito.
