Born March 15, 1937, to Oddy and Pauline Alsbury in Chicago, IL. Married Charles E. Byrne on May 2, 1952, in Dubuque, IL.
She is survived by her children; Gene, Michael (D’Ann), Craig (Pat), Charles R. (Sharrie), 13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents, her sisters Tooty, Helen and Dorothy, and her son Edward.
Lou was a member of the LDS church and made hats for the church to distribute with their donations to those in need around the world, she took a lot of time and care in this calling.
Lou loved camping and spending time with her family, she never missed a camping trip she could go on. She also loved making things for her family whether it was receiving blankets for new babies or afghans for anyone who wanted or needed one. She made them with all the love she had for her family.
A viewing will be held on Monday April 14, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday April 15, 2025, Viewing 10 am to 11 am, services 11 am to 12pm, burial 12pm at Valley View Mortuary 4335 W 4100 So, West Valley City, Utah
