LeRoy Joseph Armijo 83 years young, passed away peacefully in his West Valley home on December 6, 2024, of natural causes. He was born in Pueblo Colorado, on August 19, 1941, to John Isaac Armijo and Molly Jacobs. He married the love of his life, Norma Ruth Flanagan (Armijo), on April 17, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah and was married for 50 years prior to her passing in 2009. He longed to see her again and is now reunited with his soul mate.
We are so grateful for everything, your love, your wisdom, and your laughter. He was a hard worker, committed to his career, and loved working as a Masonry of Stonework. He instilled his hard work and structure into his family. He was a people person and loved going fishing, hunting, camping, having BBQs and playing poker with his family and friends. Until we meet again you will live on in our hearts.
He is survived by his loving children, (Steve Howard), John Armijo, Dorothy O'Neil (Joe O'Neil), Tom Armijo, Nancy Florez (Tony Florez), and Kathy Armijo (Bo Welch), his siblings Louise Wineriter (Bob), Ruthie Rivera (Kevin), Susan Stoddard, Tony Armijo (Andrea), Lisa Armijo, 24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren that he loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life Norma Ruth Flanagan (Armijo), father John Isaac Armijo, mother Molly Jacobs, sister Evelyn Hardy, brother Jimmy Armijo, daughter Sherrie Ann Howard, and granddaughter Stephanie Milana Sadler.
Viewing Services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home 4335 W. 4100 S West Valley, Utah 84120 from 10 AM to 11 AM. Funeral services will be held from 11AM to 12 PM followed by the graveside services. Luncheon to follow at 3671 South Oldham St 4180 West, West Valley City, Utah 84120.
