Kenneth Short, 78, passed away the evening of December 31, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah, due to complications from surgery. Ken was an extraordinary patriarch, the rock of our family, and he leaves a hole in our hearts as big as his personality. Ken was born in Hartlepool, England on July 17, 1938 to Jennie and Cyril Short. He emigrated to the United States in 1952, and proudly served in the United States Army.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Maureen, children Gary and Kim, Kimberly and John, Lance and Teresa, Suzanne, Rob and Diane,15 grandchildren and 13.5 great grandchildren. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, sister Debbie, brother Alan and grandson Taysen. Ken loved life, his family and his many friends. He will be deeply missed and will be the subject of many happy memories.
