Our loving daughter, sister and friend, Jessica Nielson, 52, passed away on December 2, 2024, in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on March 9, 1972, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Marsha Bowen and Craig Nielson.
Jessica was a light and gift to us all. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Jessica was an animal advocate and quick to rescue any animal in need. She was not afraid to speak up when she saw an animal being mistreated. Many said that she should have owned her own animal rescue. She could be generous to a fault and had a very sensitive heart.
Jessica is survived by her father, Craig Nielson and brother, Lance Nielson. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marsha Bowen; maternal grandmother, Norma Bowen; maternal grandfather, Lawrence Bowen; paternal grandmother, Uleda Nielson and paternal grandfather, Douglas W. Nielson.
A memorial service for Jessica will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South in West Valley City, Utah
