1944-2011
Jesse Charles (JC) Carlile, 67, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011 from a heart attack in West Valley City, Utah. He was born April 3, 1944 in Tabiona, Utah to Kenneth and Nettie Carlile. He attended Tabiona High School and Utah Valley Vocational College. He married Joan Ivie on May 8, 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had just celebrated their 44th anniversary.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. He did many things, too many to count for those that he loved. He was especially attentive and tender as he cared for his sweetheart the past 2 years. He loved working with his hands. He was always working on a project, and if he didn’t have one he would find one. He was a great example of service and looking out for the needs of others. He worked hard his whole life! He retired from the SLC airport in 2008 after 25 years. At that time Mom and Dad became best friends and constant companions. He loved spending time in Tabby, where he shared his love of the town with his grandchildren and could be found taking them by tractor around town. We love you and we will miss you dearly. Thanks for all that your loving hands have done in our behalf.
He is survived by his loving wife Joan Carlile, WVC, UT; Children: Melanie (Carl) Silcox, Hooper, UT; Debbie Carlile, Tooele, UT; Brandon (Natalie) Carlile, WVC, UT; Lisa (Keith) Michaelis, Kearns, UT. Grandchildren: Mackenzie, Preston and Amanda Silcox; Conner, Britton and Ryann Carlile; Tyler, Allison and Baby Michaelis. Siblings: Rozella Broadhead, Lonnie (Sue) Carlile, Faun (Karl) Mower, Valden (Karen) Carlile.
Preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Nettie Carlile
