Jean Sperry Campbell, 81, passed away April 14, 2024 after a short bout with pneumonia. Born September 24, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Richard Melvin Sperry and Hetta Mae Thompson. Married William Robert Campbell December 8, 1961 in the LDS Salt Lake Temple.
Jean lived a life of service as a Young Women Leader, Westminster College Lambda Delta Sigma Advisor, Oakcrest Girls Camp committee member, Boy Scout leader and many other church callings.
She loved the outdoors, especially skiing, spending time in the mountains or on the beach. She served a full-time mission in Dallas Texas and as a Temple Square service missionary. She taught swimming lessons to multiple generations in her back yard pool in West Valley City where she lived for 60 years.
Survived by children; Richard (Stacey) Campbell, Christine (Scott) Rowley, Matthew (Erika) Campbell, Aimee (Ryan) Oviatt, Charles (Molly) Campbell; 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; sister, Vera Christensen.
Preceded in Death by son Michael, husband William, and sister Gail Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday April 20, 10:00 am at the Hunter East Stake Building, 5000 West Pavant Avenue (3710 S.). A viewing will be held Friday April 19, 6-8 pm at the Hunter East Stake Building, 5000 West Pavant Avenue (3710 S.) and Saturday 8:30-9:30 am prior to service. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
