She was preceded in death by her father, Scott Grant Walton, mother, Frances Demar Walton, and sister, Jeanne Walton. She is survived by: sisters Cheryl Walton, Kerry Walton Hill, and Stacey Walton; daughters Chako Zolman and Minya Smith; grandchildren Kyena Oblad, Azean Oblad, Alee Keith, and Kaleb Keith.
Janis was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and family member. She spent her time, resources, and energy caring and providing for those around her (including complete strangers). Her outwardly stubborn demeanor never detracted from the kindness she provided to those she cared about. Those who were part of her life were comforted knowing she would support them in whatever way was needed, and constantly felt enveloped by her love and care.
A celebration of life will be held Friday November 5, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the Hampton Inn and Suites in West Jordan. 3923 West Center Park Drive, West Jordan, Utah 84084. Friends and family are invited to attend.
