Our sweet Jackie peacefully left this earth and returned home to his Heavenly Father, surrounded by his loving family, on December 21, 2014. Jack was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 22, 1993 to Jim and Jamie McArthur. Jack grew up in South Jordan and graduated from Bingham High School in 2011. He attended SLCC and enjoyed taking classes. He is member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved attending the South Jordan YSA 2nd ward. Jack valiantly served a mission in the Family History Group and loved the people he worked with. Jack enjoyed spending time with family and going on vacations, especially to Disneyland. He loved to make people laugh and was always working on a new joke. Jack loved bacon, jerky, anything sour, and all things chicken. He enjoyed attending the temple and the peace he felt there. Jack was very skilled at video games, and especially enjoyed playing them with his brother Jonah. Most of all, Jack was kind, optimistic, brave, caring, honest, and thoughtful. Jack lived his life with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, but never complained about the challenges or difficulties he bravely faced. Jack is survived by his parents Jim and Jamie, siblings Madi, Cassie, and Jonah, grandparents Dick and Janie McArthur, Ken and Janice Crookston, and many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who love him very much. Lots of love and thanks goes out to a couple of Jack's closest confidants, Mandy and Courtney. The family would also like to thank the IHC Hospice team for amazing care and compassion. We also appreciate the loving care provided to Jack by Primary Children's Hospital over the years.
