Frank Disera

1930 ~ 2011

Frank DiSera passed away August 3, 2011 of cancer. He was born April 17, 1930 to Pete and Mae Zito DiSera. Frank married Donna Harris in June 1957, they had three children.

Frank was a hard working, strong tough witty intelligent character. He beat the odds to spend quality time with his family. At his insistence, we mention how proud he was of his kids and grandkids. We are proud of you too Dad!

After Dad retired from Kennecott he enjoyed working in his beautiful yard, football games and the Utah Jazz. Frank also enjoyed his yard birds, his wife’s amazing cooking, reading, toying with his guitar and political discussions.

He is survived by his wife Donna, children Dianne, Steve (Trina) Frank (Teresa); grandchildren Kalli, Niki, Nico and Anna and his great granddaughter, Frankee; as well as his sister Delphine John Welch. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Ann Bailey, brother Larry DiSera and precious granddaughter Dani. Dad and Dani had a loving, funny comical Italian relationship. We take comfort in knowing she greeted him on the other side.

Frank loved his family very much and appreciated their loving care during his illness. Thank you to CNS hospice for their great care and support. We would like to give an extra special thanks to his nurse, Marina.

Dad requested no formal services – not his style. There will be a graveside service at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South on Monday August 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. for close family and his friends. His immediate family will have a sweet memorial he would approve of. We Love You Dad!! Arrivederci . . .
