She was born on October 25, 1929 in Blanca, Colorado to parents Benito Garcia and Margaret Torres Garcia. She met her sweetheart, Eddie Q. Sanchez in Center, Colorado. They were married in Taos, New Mexico on August 16, 1947. They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where they built their life and home together, brick by brick, and raised their five children.
Mom was always so beautiful. She always carried herself with so much class. She was a hard worker and was never afraid to get her hands dirty. She enjoyed doing projects around her home and in her yard. She always took great pride in everything she did and it showed.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching Jazz games. She was an amazing cook, she loved to read and crochet, she made many afghans for her loved ones. She loved to go on walks and shopping. She always took time with family and visiting her children out of state. She always enjoyed a cold one.
Most of all she loved her honey, our dad. They were married 59 years and were able to travel and see the world together.
Mom was the strongest woman in so many eyes. Always so witty and never afraid to speak her mind. Although she suffered from Alzheimer’s-Dementia the past year, she always kept her grace and faith.
She was a proud Catholic woman and always prayed the Rosary for her family. We now take comfort in knowing she is at peace and in dad’s arms dancing again.
She in preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons Robert and Conrad Sanchez, her siblings Cora Trujillo, Ernestina Garcia and Benito Garcia, Jr.
She is survived by her sisters Barbara Albretsen , Elenor Larsen and Isabel Jardin. Her children Patti (Sanchez) Glunz, Jackie Sanchez, Carol Sanchez, and David Sanchez (Gloria) and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
