Eddie was an accomplished fisherman, explored the outdoors, and had a passion for classic rock and classic cars. When not outdoors, you could find him cheering (if not yelling!) for his favorite teams in front of the TV. He was a Utah Jazz and Raiders fan through-and-through. He was a hard worker, craftsman, and loved bringing projects from his mind to life.
Most of all he loved spending time with family, including his only son Wayne, and mom Helen, whom he loved dearly. Eddie was quick to give his siblings a friendly barb, especially with his sister Veronica, always out of good fun. Veronica watched over him when he was in need, Eddie always appreciated all she did for him, even if he secretly liked their little fights. He enjoyed family get-togethers with all of the family when it was possible, and recently was looking forward to a future where it will be safe for everyone in our family to be together again.
Eddie is survived by son Wayne and daughter-in-law Patrice, mom Helen and step-father George, siblings Danny, Veronica, Lisa, Georgie, Margarita and many nieces and nephews who all brought happiness to his life. Eddie was preceded in death by his father Ed Cruz, grandparents Max & Cecilia Zamora, Stino & Nellie Cruz, and brother Mario Cruz.
Ultimately Eddie would have wanted everyone in his life to remain happy and healthy in the times we find ourselves in. To this end, following immediate services, further services to commemorate his eternal life are planned to commence with his birthday in 2021.
