Donald Edward Egan, age 80, passed away at his home on February 26 2016 in West Valley, Utah. He was born February 2,1936 to Silas Egan Jr and Sarah Goldie Duke in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Granite High School, graduated in 1955. Donald married Joyce Anderson on August 26, 1959.
Don had a long career with Hercules/ATK and retired after 35 years. He then worked as a TSA agent and then a wheelchair attendant at the airport until he fully retired.
His favorite things to do were read, hunt, fish and look at cars. He loved having the family over for get togethers. He was raised in the Community of Christ church where he served as a Deacon. He devoted six years to the Utah Air National Guard from 1956 to 1962.
He is survived by his wife Joyce A Egan, his children Lynne Rae(Kevin) Bayless, Randy(Dennise) Egan and Kim(Gary) Clements, sister Carol(Gary) Hofstad, grandchildren Brandon Bayless, Jesse Bayless, Steven(Astin) Gunnerson, Keith(Laurie) Gunnerson, Alex(Nolan) Clements, Justin Clements, and three great grandchildren Gage, Jake and Hunter
Preceded in death by his parents and bothers Vernon S Eggen, David Egan, Richard Egan and Jimmy Egan.
Services will be held on Friday March 4th at 2:30 at the Community of Christ Church, 2747 Craig Drive, Salt Lake City. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
