Delane Spencer Russell

After graduating from Cyprus High School, he joined the U.S. Navy, after a short period of time he contracted polio and was honorably discharged. He married the love of his life LaRae, they remained married for 68 years until her passing in 2021. Together they had three children Shelley, Ron, and Jim. Together they enjoyed Thursday night bowling, riding motorcycles, and camping in the summer.

He was a perfectionist in everything he did. From his work at Eimco, to remodeling his home, for which everything had a draft drawn.

He is survived in life by his children: Shelley (Gumby) Kosola, Ron (Joanne) Russell; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by: wife LaRae, son Jim, one grandson, parents, sibling and many friends and family.

A visitation prior to service for Spencer will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at 12:15 PM. Both of these will be held at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 4335 West 4100 South West Valley City, UT 84120
