Debbie Sue Hatt Tunstall

Our beautiful mother Debbie Hatt Tunstall passed away while surrounded by family on September 5, 2017. She fought valiantly against multiple medical challenges but continued to have a positive attitude and found joy in life.

Debbie was born on September 29, 1960, in Burley, Idaho to William Clarence Hatt and Lois Hansen Hatt. She graduated from Declo High School, and then completed medical training in respiratory therapy at CSI in Twin Falls, Idaho. She had a career as a respiratory therapist at Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls where she met her future husband.

She married Francis (Frank) Tunstall on June 10, 1980, in Elko, Nevada. He was the love of her life and they had three children, Francis Tunstall III (Sonya Hy), Jennifer Tunstall Bauman (Brandon), and Jared Tunstall (Jennifer Josephson).

Debbie loved anything that had to do with her five beautiful grandchildren who adored her. She attended many dance performances, loved taking them out to eat, to the movies, and on trips to the zoo. She had a passion for singing and loved to share her talent. She enjoyed playing games with friends and family.

She is survived by four siblings, Drinda (Albert) Creekmore of Thompson Falls, Montana, Patty (Blaine) Jeffs of Meridian, Idaho, and Kammy (Juel) Hurst of Juniper, Idaho, Dean (Tammy) Hatt of Orem, Utah; sister-in-law, Joan (David) Hatt of Orem, Utah; brother-in-law, Gary (Linda) Lee of Iowa City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents, and three siblings, Leslie C. Hatt, David L. Hatt and Karen Hatt Lee.

The family will receive friends Monday September 11, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan North 4th Ward, 4270 South 4145 West, West Valley City.
