Craig Clark Collins, 62, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2016 in Murray, Utah. He was born on December 5, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edwin LaVon and Opal Bailey Collins. He graduated from Granger High School and later married the love of his life, Jeannie VanderVaart Collins on August 14, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed to one another in the Jordan River Temple on August 14, 2007.
Craig was a member of the LDS Church. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He loved his bowl of ice cream every night. His great granddaughters were the light of his life and he loved his son very much and wanted the best for him.
Craig is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie; children: Ryan, Carie, Jayson, Dawn, Kyndra, Christee and Gordon; his mother, Opal; siblings, Mike and Marsha; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Ed; son, Ryan; sister, Barbara; grandson, Jordan.
Funeral services for Craig will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Memorial Ward 4251 South 4800 West, West Valley City. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South in West Valley City and again at the church on Wednesday morning one hour prior to the service. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
