Carol Marie Hunter, age 65, passed away on June 17, 2016 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on December 6, 1950 in Denver, Colorado to Donald and Hazel Young (adoptive) and (biological) Joe Anson and Glenda Mae Curtis Anson. She attended Granger High School and Salt Lake Community College. She married Joseph MacDuff Hunter III on May 20, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Carol was a professional hairstylist, specializing in ladies hairpieces. She loved working in her yard and going on cruises. Weeks before passing, she completed a Disney Cruise through the Panama Canal. The cruise was a gift to her family, especially to her only grandchild, Hank.
Carol was found by her long lost biological family just one year ago. Finally meeting the family she thought she would never know brought her great joy and comfort.
Special thanks to Linda Curtis, Anita Anson, Wendy Davis, Tina Anson and others for making this happen. Another special thank you to Rocky Mountain Hospice, especially Kathy and Rhonda, for their loving care.
Carol is survived by her husband, Joseph MacDuff Hunter III; children, Dylan MacDuff Hunter (son) and Lorene LaPrieal Newsome (daughter in law); siblings, Anita Anson, Bernice Young, Steven, Randall and Richard Anson and one grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Donald and Hazel Young (adoptive) and Joe Anson and Glenda Mae Curtis Anson (biological); siblings, Daniel Young (brother), and Ronald Anson (brother).
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 12:00 PM (noon) at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. For condolences, please visit: www.valleyviewfh.com.
