Brette Llewelyn returned to her Heavenly Father and the many family members and friends that preceded her on October 12, 2016. She was in the comfort of her own bed and enveloped by the love of her family and friends. Brette was born to Bryant Chase Llewelyn and Kamille Harris Llewelyn on February 28, 2000 in Murray, Utah.
Brette was born with the special ability to light up any room she entered with her sweet spirit. She had unconditional love for everyone that she met. Her laugh was contagious and even on your worst day she could bring a smile to your face. Though she had many health challenges, she was able to touch your heart and soul with the pure love of Christ. It didn’t take much to make Brette happy-a warm blanket, yummy bites of ice cream, or people calling her a faker.
Brette had a wicked sense of humor and everyone loved when she would laugh at the most inappropriate times. She was sensitive to the feelings of others and truly mourned when you were sad and rejoiced when you were happy. She was here such a short time, yet those who met her whether it was a paramedic, a stranger in the store, a teacher, a friend, or relative felt of her love and personality. Brette taught us to love unconditionally, cherish each other, to be strong and to smile and laugh even during the hard, painful times. Her true loves were her family, listening to music with her dad, chocolate pudding, watching Everyone Loves Raymond, a good wrestling match from her uncles and just enjoying life around her. You could always find her wrapped in her favorite blanket made by her mom sitting among the family during a movie, playing games or having Sunday dinners.
Brette is survived by her mom Kamille (fiancé Trevor Perry) Llewelyn, her father Bryant and step-mother Amy Llewelyn, her sisters Raleigh and Holland and her brother Chase, step-siblings Ethan, Tatum, and Brooke Young, Kira, Bailey, Braden, Kallie, and Brigham Perry, grandparents Robin and Cathy Harris, Retha Llewelyn, Rodger and Audree Llewelyn, Ron and Linda Perry, Paul and Doreen Bourne, and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins that loved her dearly.
Thank you to the amazing teachers and staff at Kauri Sue Hamilton School, her home away from home, who loved and cared for her. Your school is truly a heaven on earth filled with angels. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Brette’s memory to www.jordaneducationfoundation.org to help her school build a wheelchair park.
