BonnaLee Savage Duke was born at her home in Logan, Utah to Parley and Leona Hurst Savage. Bonnie was the youngest of seven children and spent many years delivering milk on her bicycle, starting at the age of five for their family dairy. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family listening to music and radio shows and sitting on the front porch. She loved her piano which she played by ear and her harmonica. She attended and graduated from Logan High School and was a proud member of the all-state choir. She was a faithful and proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she met her eternal mate Blaine Gaylon Duke in Sunday school where he winked at her and made her blush.
Bonnie and Blaine were married June 8, 1948 in the Logan, Utah Temple.
They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where they were blessed with four children.
The family always had the greatest vegetable garden around and they loved working in it. They spent time sitting in the yard in the summer enjoying all the beauty, watching hummingbirds, and enjoying each other's company. They loved camping, long rides and picnicking in the mountains. They enjoyed the greatest of the holidays.
Bonnie loved her church and being a part of it , she was a primary music chorister and primary teacher. She always made sure it was special for the children. She loved visiting teaching for the Relief Society, Emergency Preparedness for the stake, and Cub scout Den Mother for her sons; she had several other church callings.
She is survived by her Son Gaylon (Georgene) Duke, Kent Savage Duke and Daughter Michelle Duke, eight Grandchildren, thirteen Great grandchildren and one Great-great grand daughter.
Preceded in death by Husband Blaie Gaylon Duke, Son Creg Duke. Grandson Troy Duke, Granddaughter Chystal Duke Lavano and all her siblings.
She was a loving and devoted stay-at-home mother. Bonnie and Blaine would sometimes clean banks in the evening.
Our loving mother, grand mother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and wonderful friend to everyone will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts and memories. We all love you mom.
