Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend returned to his Father in Heaven on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He was born on April 27, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Werner B. and Grace H. Moeller. He is survived by his wife, Annetta R. Moeller; sons, Kurt, Joel, Nate (Chanda), Karl (Katy); daughters, Brigeeta Jensen, Elaina (David) Augason; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Gary, Tom; sisters, Debbie Rueckert and Luann Williams.
Doug earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. He joined the US Navy and worked on nuclear submarines, which was difficult for his new wife. After an honorable discharge he moved his family back to Utah where he earned his master’s degree from BYU.
Doug served in many capacities through church callings, politics, Scouts and volunteering. He had a passion for fishing, cycling, woodworking, gardening, reading, singing and sharing his love of Christ.
Doug chose to be an organ donor. Due to his dedication to healthy living, he will help so many others. He will be able to donate organs including his eyes, tissue, bone and blood veins.
As a family we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the medical specialists, nurses and staff at Holy Cross Hospital- Jordan Valley.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 11:00am at the Jordan North 4th Ward, 4270 South Falcon Street in West Valley City, Utah, where friends may visit with the family on Sunday evening from 6:00-9:00pm and again on Monday morning from 9:00-10:30am prior to the services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
