Allen Carl Woods, age 42, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2020 after a nine month battle with small cell lung cancer. Allen was born on August 7, 1978 to Paul and Charlotte Woods. He graduated from Hunter High School and went on to work at M & M Distributing in North Salt Lake where he was a valued employee for 19 years.
Allen had two fur babies that he absolutely loved. He had an intense fascination with dragons. He had many dragon statues, t-shirts and pictures. Allen participated in a bowling league and was known for his left-handed skills and high scores. He loved hanging out with his nieces and he was always entertained by their antics.
Allen will be missed by his mother, Charlotte Woods; sister, Judy Wolfertz; three brothers, Andrew Woods, Marvin Woods, and Richard Woods; many nieces and nephews, and his two fur babies, Lucky and Christian.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Woods and his brother, Robert Woods.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 1 from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home located 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, Utah. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2 at 11:00 AM at Valley View Memorial Park with a viewing one hour prior at the funeral home.
