Aunt Sally will be sadly missed.  Many great times with her and Uncle Jim over the decades.    I will always remember her teaching me to tie my shoes as a 5 year old child.   This may seem like a small  accomplishment  but to me it meant a lot.  Because I was left handed no one else  could teach me.   Thank you.  May you Rest In Peace.  Love you.

Dear Sally, I miss you so very much.  I love every moment we have ever shared together. Because of you, I got to experience a one of a kind love and devotion that comes around “once in a blue moon” and you were my “blue moon”. You had had such an energy and a light about you, drawing me to you like the tide to the shore.  You made me feel special, like I was important, and worthwhile.  It was like you were able to see directly into my heart where all the scars were and just know how to heal them---and you did---one-by-one; you rebuilt my broken heart with a love so intense that you healed me from the inside out.  My heart had been so battered and so bruised, but you restored me, where others had tried and failed, you did it.  You wouldn’t give up on me.  You took all of my heart’s scars, bruises and cracks and used them to create ribbons of hope, bandages of courage and bridges of love, thereby forging a bond that will forever connect your heart to mine—I will love you with all that I am for all of the days of my life.  
You had said to me, more than once, that one of your biggest fears was not being remembered after you were gone and “your light went out”.  But your light can never go out; it’s too immense, shining intensely over anyone lucky enough to be in your orbit.  I thank God everyday that I was one of those lucky ones—I promised you then that I would never forget you, that your light, in all of its overwhelming glory and beauty would forever burn in my heart’s eye and illuminate my soul.  You will always be my lighthouse in the storm; and I will forever be your little sailboat watching for you, when it’s my time, to one day call me home.  Until then, just like the song I used to sing to you says, “On a prayer, in a song, I (will) hear your voice, and it (will) keep me hanging on, raining down, against the wind, I (will) be reaching out, till we reach the circle’s end (and) you come back to me again.”


Just want to send our sincere condolences to Aunt Sally's immediate family.  We were very lucky to have her as an Aunt and Great-Aunt to our children.   We enjoyed many laughs together, her twinkling smile and admired her strength in caring for Uncle Jim all those years.   She was kind and thoughtful of others and had a big heart.  She will be greatly missed by all of us.       

I worked with Sally at Travelers and Sally always took the time to  lend a hand when I needed assistance .  I remember Sally at our gatherings and picnics when Travelers had a Ladies Club which she participated in. She always brought her lively spirit to every  function which I will always remember fondly.
