SMITH - Rickard T. “Rick” Of West Seneca, NY. April 20, 2023. Beloved husband of Patti A. (nee Godert); dearest father of Russell (Michelle), James (Karen), Jennifer and Eric Smith; brother of Judy (late Robert) Sams; cherished grandfather of Madison Olszowy, Breanna Olszowy and Christopher Smith. Rick devoted approximately 30 years to the West Seneca Police Department as a Detective. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years. Family will be present Sunday 2-7 PM at HOY FUNERAL HOME, 3855 Seneca St., West Seneca. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 AM at Saint John XXIII Catholic Church, 1 Arcade St., West Seneca. Please assemble at church.
