Of South Buffalo, NY, born on June 1, 1932, died peacefully on October 19, 2021. Beloved daughter of the late Louis and Marion Klipfel. Dearest sister of Joan (late Bernard) Lillis and the late Doris (late Raymond) Styn. Cherished Aunt “Mimi” of Peggy (Peter) Snajczuk, Richard (Linda) Lillis and Maura (Jeffery) Blonski. Also survived by seven dearly loved great-nieces and nephews (Peter, Cara, Connor,
Cailin, Nolan, Garrett and Madailéin). Margaret graduated from Holy Family School, Mount Mercy Academy, D’Youville College and the University of Buffalo with a Master of Social Work degree. She worked for 34 years in the Foster Care and Adoption division of Erie County Social Services, where, as
a caseworker and later a supervisor, she dedicated her career to helping children and families. She was devoted to her own family and spent countless hours helping her younger sister Joan raise her three children after the sudden death of Joan’s husband Bernie in 1967. Margaret also worked tirelessly
helping to organize and manage seven successful political campaigns for Joan who served as Councilwoman and later Supervisor of the town of West Seneca. In her free time, Margaret loved to read but gardening was her true passion. She planted and tended beautiful gardens at Joan’s home and her own lifelong home in South Buffalo. Margaret was extraordinarily selfless and kind, always helping and
giving to others with great love—her life was truly lived in service to others. Margaret’s family will be present Friday, November 12th, 4-7 PM, at HOY FUNERAL HOME, 3855 Seneca St., West Seneca, NY.
