She met and married Alexander Hunter, Sr. to this union was born Linda Diane Scott (deceased), Alexander Hunter, Jr., and Richard Hunter. The family relocated to West Palm Beach, FL in 1960 where Virginia joined Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was a dedicated usher, served in the Summer Institute, and a proud model for the various fashion shows.
Virginia was a woman of many talents. Prior to relocating to Florida, she worked as a nurse assistant in New York. Upon relocating to Florida, she worked at ITT and Northern Telecom for many years as an electronics assembler. She finally served in the classrooms of Northboro Montessori Elementary School as a paraprofessional. Virginia did all of this while maintaining her passion for fashion as a seamstress.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Alexander Hunter and Richard Hunter; her granddaughter, Alexis Camille Hunter; her grandson, Alexander Cory Hunter; her great grandchildren, Naima Harper and Caleb Sheard; cousins Barbara Middleton (Baltimore, MD) and Deborah Middleton (Baltimore, MD); special friends, Jacquelyn Wright and Katrenia Wilkerson, and many other loving friends.
