Vera was born in Lake Butler, Florida, and lived in Florida most of her life, but her love for the mountains and family moved her to Blowing Rock, NC, and eventually to Elizabethton 8 years ago. She had a degree in business and was a real estate agent for many years in Palm Beach County, Florida.
She is survived by her son, Allan Hamilton, and his wife Linda, her grandson, Richard Hamilton, a brother, three nieces, a nephew, and several great nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service on Monday, January 24, 2011, 7:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, Elizabethton, where she was a member. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30-7:00. Interment will be in West Palm Beach, Florida.
A Graveside Service will be held 2PM, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405 with Pastor Bill Keith from the First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach officiating.
