I just found out about Mr. Brunson's passing... I worked for him at Burdine's  in the early 1980's. He was such a kind and happy man and and probably the best boss I have ever had. I am so sorry for your family's loss.

I grew up with Tom. We attended Holy Family School, from kindergarten through high school. We played many sports together and ran around as great friends. I am sure he will be missed by his family and friends. My sympathy to the family.

I was a classmate of Tom's at Holy Family in Mason City, IA.   I am so sorry to hear of your loss.   My sympathy to all the family.  He will be missed.

I worked for Tom at Burdines and he was a great guy.  When I came home from college breaks, he would always get me a job at Burdines.  He was  a nice and thoughtful man that cared about people. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Tom was my manager in Burdines for years. A caring, kind, considerate man. Anyone that worked for him knew how much he cared. Prayers are with his lovely family as you mourn your loss.

To The Brunson Family,
This morning at Tom's funeral, I was able to put a face to the names. Tom and I were walking partners for several years. My favorite thing about him was the intensity of his love for his wife and children. Twice a week, for one precious hour at a time, I got to be a recipient of the  compassion, kindness and wisdom that was an innate part of his character; it has sustained me through some very challenging experiences. 

We have all been blessed, and I believe we will continue to be blessed with the exquisite essence of who Tom was. 

He may not be resting much, but I know a soul as magnificent as his will be blessed with eternal peace.

Tommy, real friends are hard to find,but after thirty five years,this was something special. You will always be with me.will miss you deeply,Rest in peace my friend.

I remember the first day that I started working with you.  You welcomed me with open arms and made me feel loved from the moment that I met you.  We all loved that beautiful smile of yours, it always lit the room up.  I thank you for all the great times that we shared and all the tears that you helped wipe away. I met your daughter tonight and by surprise I already knew her.  You always spoke highly of Michelle and was always so proud of her.  Her smile takes after you, so thank god your smile lives on! you were always so kind and patient with a gentle smile on your face. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you one last time since I left MFZ. I guess you always think there will be plenty of time to see your friends, and then somehow time runs out. Mizell won't be the same without you sitting up front ready to greet people as they come in. I still have the pen you gave me for good luck before I left MFZ for my new job. I will miss you and miss seeing your kind smile.
