Steven “Stevie” Perez Jr., age 41, was called home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 16, 2023 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on February 3, 1982 to father Steven Perez Sr. and mother Nydia Silva. He grew up in Massachusetts but then came to reside in Florida where he decided to join the U.S. Army. Steve did multiple US conflict tours to include Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Noble Eagle during the nearly 22 years that he served his country.
Steve is survived by his beautiful wife Lyra Palacios, daughter Alexia, son Omariz, daughter Delilah, brothers Jose, Abner, and two four-legged children Dash and Rex.
Steve was a loving, smart, funny, hard working, beautiful soul who impacted many people's lives. He had a kind of energy that filled a room with happiness and laughter. He was loved and admired by many.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband and father, Steve was a man who had a strong faith in God. His second home was attending church with his family on Sundays. When he was not with them he would be working at the barbershop and in the later years of his life as a Security Force Access Control Specialist for the United States Southern Command. He was an awe-inspiring husband, father, friend and many more to others. He was a wise and compassionate individual who was there for anybody and everybody who needed him.
