A devoted mother, loyal friend, and longtime resident of Palm Beach, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024. Born on June 28, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Sharon was the beloved daughter of Josephine and Robert Steman.
Raised in Cincinnati, Sharon attended Hillsdale School before continuing her education at Garland Junior College. After a brief return to Cincinnati following college, Sharon embraced the vibrant lifestyle of Palm Beach, Florida, moving there in the mid-1970s.
Throughout her life, Sharon brought her remarkable talents to several professions, including real estate, retail with Lilly Pulitzer, and her work at The Breakers, where her warmth and charm left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Sharon will be remembered for her vibrant personality, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor, which brought joy and laughter to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sharon is survived by her adoring son, Robby Kahle of West Palm Beach, Florida, who was the light of her life. She is also lovingly remembered by her soulmate Harvey Newman and the many friends she made during her years in Palm Beach.
A service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday December 13th. Sharon’s grace, kindness, and infectious humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Bethesda-by-the-Sea Church in her honor.
