It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Rob” Joseph Sample, on December 28, 2023. Rob was born on November 3, 1969 to Marilyn Laihr Koik and Charles Robert Sample in Springfield, Ohio. Rob was the youngest among his two sisters, Suzy Meismer and Beth Nolette. Additionally, Rob is survived by his step mother Kathy Sample. After graduating from Catholic Central High School in 1988, Rob continued his education at The Ohio State University, earning his BA in Communications and Political Science. He later obtained his MBA in International Business from Florida Atlantic University.
Rob was known for his witty sense of humor, unwavering compassion, and his unique ability to connect with others. Rob was an avid golfer, the life of any party, and beyond all, a diehard Buckeye. His charm, kindness and indomitable spirit will be sorely missed, deeply embraced, and lovingly carried forward by all who knew him.
Rob is survived by his three children, Ally, Matthew, and Charlotte, who will forever cherish the memories of a loving father. Above all else, Rob was a devoted father to his greatest sources of joy, who were the center of his world.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, in honor of Rob's commitment and love to the Nicklaus family.
A private celebration of life will be held to commemorate Rob Sample.
