Sorry for our loss, "We are Family". Your Father made a lasting impression on me, I am glad I Got to see him about 2 years ago.

Dr. Frank R. Satchel  was a Mentor Father and Friend of Mine. From his Days at Bethel A.M.E. Church Palatka, FL to Historic Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church Jacksonville FL to becoming a Presiding Elder and later Pastor of Payne Chapel , West Palm Beach,FL to Bethel A.M.E. Church Pompano Beach, FL. I Preached Revival for Dr. Satchel for a Number of Years. A Great Giant has Fallen. To Mrs. Satchel  and the Satchel Family. Our Prayers are with You.

Please know that my prayers are with your family during this most difficult time.  What I know from experience is that God is faithful to uphold and comfort you all now and in the days ahead.

Rev. Dr. Satchel served as my instructor in AMEC Board of Examiners of the South Annual Conference, 1988-1993.  He was an amazing and loving instructor.  My heartfelt sympathy goes to his family.  He will be forever in my heart.

As we celebrate the life you lived, I will continue to live the life you gave me.  Because of you, your calling and your ministry, I learned to seek out and live in the purpose for which I was called. Thank you.

Never will I forget or fail to show  gratitude, honor and respect for the mother you brought to us. When so much weighed against you, she became the rock and the glue of this family. I love her so very deeply because of the love and honor I saw her give to you. Thank you, Doe.

 Take comfort in accepting the fact there is another  "special" Guardian Angel to watch over each or you   as Rev/Dr. Satchel evangelize within the  Pearly Gates! Helen Keller says it best, "What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose - all that we love deeply become parts of us."

May your hearts soon be filled with the marvelous memories and rapturous times spent together as each of you magnify a life well lived!





I remember Presiding Elder Satchel during my youth at St. Paul A. M.E. Church in Jacksonville. He was a model of ebony excellence and a wonderful role model for a young man.
