December 23rd - Just heard about your Dad.  Happy that he and Annie are together again.  Sad for you on earth who will miss his presence.  He always had a great smile and was there when others needed him.  A wonderful man - strong willed and kind hearted.

Mel was one of my closest friends and one of the finest and funniest men I have ever known. 
He had everything in life a person could ever desire. 

And I'm certain that if he'd reached 100 years old he could have easily shot his age !

I will miss Mel so very much.  I'm sorry I didn't know until just a few hours ago that he had passed. My niece had seen it in the Boston Globe and my nephew emailed me.  Had I known, I certainly would have made it to the services.  I'm content he didn't suffer very long.  I hope he went peacefully.  Hospice care is the very best and I'm sure he was kept comfortable during his last days.  I've contacted many in the family.  May he rest in peace with his Annie.  My condolences to all -
