Aged 96 Years
Lucille Marie Hall died peacefully at her home after a life well-lived. Marie was born in Toledo, Ohio to parents Henry Kinsel and Ruth Schall Kinsel. She moved to Florida at the age of 5. She was a longtime resident of Palm Beach County and attended Palm Beach High School.
Marie is predeceased by her loving husband Air Force Major Ralph L. Hall. She is survived by her children, Brian Hall of Anchorage, Alaska, Bruce Hall (Susan) of Hartford, Tennessee, Cheryl Geller of West Palm Beach, and Daryl Hall (Sarah) of West Palm Beach.
She is predeceased by her precious grandson Dylan Hall. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kelly Hall, Megan Geller (Michael), Leland Hall (Rebekah), Scott Geller (Jessica), Caleb Hall, Rachel Hall, and two great-grandchildren, William Schmitt, and David Hall.
Marie joins her loving husband Ralph in heaven. He was a military man and the two stayed deeply in love for their 28-year marriage before his passing. The military took them to Libya, California, Germany, Las Vegas, South Carolina, and Georgia. Many of Marie’s happiest moments were with Ralph, sitting out back every night talking and enjoying each other’s company.
Marie also loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Many of them traveled together out West, the Midwest, New York City, California, into New England and up to Alaska. Marie loved having a good time, seeing the sights, and making memories.
Marie also loved her five German Shepherds. Rolf, Tina, Heidi, Hans, and Greta. They all adored her and followed her around the house. She spoiled them terribly. Her favorite time of day was sitting out back with them, throwing the ball as the sun was setting.
Candlelight and elaborate dinners were a routine in the Hall house. Some of Marie’s favorite meals to prepare were her multi-course Mexican and Chinese dinners. Gourmet cooking was Marie’s passion in life.
Her long career in the service industry included working at Palm Beach’s Taboo and Wert’s. She also worked in New York’s Thousand Islands with her husband for several seasons. As her career grew, she began her own catering company, Marie’s Catering. For many years, she catered private parties in Palm Beach as well as for the Norton Museum of Art and the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens.
With her smile, Marie Hall always reminded her loved ones that she had a great life. She loved her husband and children dearly, traveled the world, and had a wonderful career making people happy. She enjoyed every minute of every day. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
