Louise Sargent passed away at the age of 78 on March 1, 2023, at Trustbridge Hospice in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She was born June 2, 1944, in Beckley, West Virginia. She was the eldest of four children born to William H. and Eloise (Givens) Craddock.
Louise graduated with her high school diploma from Rock Hill Academy in 1962. After high school she attended court reporting school. She soon worked exclusively in the home as a full-time mother to her three boys. Later, Louise returned to the workforce where she held various jobs including clerical work, armed canine security detail, and house beautification.
Throughout her life she made ministry a priority, eventually obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Systematic Theology. She also helped others through her roles as an Ordained Minister and a Certified Counselor in Inner Healing and Deliverance. Louise shared God’s Word and His love both in and outside her community, and she dedicated much of her time to prison ministry. Her gentle soul, kind heart, and adventurous spirit led her to seek out those in need. Additionally, during her lifetime, she donated 12 gallons of blood and platelets through the OneBlood organization. She epitomized the phrase “Love God, love people.”
Louise was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 18 years, Bruce Lee Sargent, and her brother, Howard Craddock. She is survived by her sisters, Judith Wright and Carole Craddock; her sons David Jeanneret, Daniel Jeanneret and his wife Candace, and Brandon Jeanneret and his wife Tish; six grandchildren, Samantha Jeanneret, Adam Jeanneret, Ryan Jeanneret, Ariana Jeanneret, Jesse Breen, and Jaden Breen; many nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and great nephews.
On March 11, 2023, a private family viewing will be followed by an 11:00 am interment at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at 10:00 am on April 22, 2023, at Cross Community Church, 2575 Lone Pine Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33410; a light lunch will follow the service. Those who wish to remember Louise in lieu of flowers, may donate in her name to Cross Community Church. (https://crosscommunity.cc), her spiritual home for the last 43 years.
