Larry was a good hearted and giving friend to all, with a wonderful sense of humor.  I am saddend to hear he has passed.  God bless his survivors that had the pleasure of knowing him longer than I - which was when we road the Trucks out of WFD Station 2.

God Bless Joan on the loss of her husband. My deepest condolences go out to all the family. He will be missed by his co-workers at Dignity Memorial.

I cannot believe it. I was checking Newsday for a friend's obit when I happened upon this. About 2-3 years ago, I looked up my old friends, Larry and Renee Bram on Facebook, after finding some old photos of them taken about 36 years ago. I was successful in finding their daughter Ilene, only to find out that my one time best friend Renee had passed away years before, in the early 90's. (I had lost touch with Larry and Renee around 1982, after I moved out of my Wantagh LI home.) Larry's late wife Renee was my best friend back in the early to late 70's. Their children Jeffrey and Ilene, were dear to me, and my then husband and I socialized with both of them. Renee and I were partners in a bowling league, and joined the same Womens Charity Organization. I contacted Ilene, and she got me back in touch with Larry. I was very saddened to hear about Renee's passing, but Larry told me of his wife Joan and how happy he was. We became friends on Facebook and would sometimes "Skype" and chat. And now I accidentally come across this obit and I am in shock. I haven't spoken to Larry in well over a year now. I am saddened once again to hear of another old friend passing. Here I reconnected with Larry, after so many years, and I had promised to send him some old photos, but I got busy with my husband and my own family, and it never came to pass. I don't know Joan, but Larry spoke so highly of her. I DID know the children, but they were very small when I met Larry/Renee, and still young when I lost touch with them. My deepest condolences go out to the family.

God bless you Joan on the loss of your husband "Larry". We know that though our sorrow may be great, that joy will come again in the morning. For to live is Christ, and to die is gain. We believe that God see's into our heart, and he has already seen the heart of Larry. May he rest in the loving arms of our Lord. Amen...Teresa and David Richards
