Kathy Goodrich passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024 in Boynton Beach, FL with family by her side. Born Kathleen Suzanne Pirl on November 30, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the third child and only daughter of Marguerite and Russell Pirl. She graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Pittsburgh and immediately moved with her family to Michigan, where she married William Earl Goodrich. She was the mother of Deborah Goodrich Royce and an infant son, James Michael, who lived only a few days. After motherhood, she made a career in sales and enjoyed her relationships with the various companies that served the large automobile industry of Detroit. After the death of her husband, she had a long relationship with Norman Strand. Her greatest pride and joy in life—and in her lovingly expressive death—was her tribe of girls. She is survived by her daughter, granddaughters Alexandra Caroline Kittle and Tess Porter Forrester, her great granddaughter Annabelle Cornelia Kittle, her son-in law Chuck Royce, her grandsons-in law Cody Kittle and Danny Forrester, and many beloved friends and extended family. Her strength, passion, and indomitable spirit will live on in the legacy of those she leaves behind.
