Joe was born on August 2, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph Lattanzio and Sophie Lattanzio. He married Susan Crowley in 1982 and they celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on February 13, 2020. They shared a life of wonderful adventure together. Joe and Sue moved to Florida in 1993 shortly after welcoming daughter, Rebecca in 1990. His mother, wife, and daughter remember him as generous, selfless, thoughtful, a true family man, and of course always the first one to make you laugh.
Joe was a very accomplished cook and loved nothing more than welcoming everyone to his table for a good meal. His love of cooking and time spent in the kitchen was handed down to him by his mother, Sophie and father, Joe. Joe and Sue enjoyed sharing their morning coffee together on the porch overlooking the lake and loved their annual trips to the Florida Keys where they watched sunsets over the ocean. Joe was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, the New York Rangers, and had a deep love for dogs and animals of all shapes and sizes especially his dog Lila who will miss him tremendously. He had a passion for music and left behind an extensive playlist of hundreds of his favorite songs for Rebecca to playback and remember him by.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2020 from 4-7 PM ET. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joe's life. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations to Big Dog Ranch Rescue, a dog shelter very close to his heart:
