John David "Dave" Eversfield of West Palm Beach, FL passed away on November 25, 2022. Dave was born on March 31,1938 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL to Lyda Belle and John Henry Eversfield.
After graduating from Palm Beach High School in 1956, Dave served in the National Guard and was stationed in Germany in the late 1950's. He served as a Lieutenant in the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Auxiliary for 30+ years, and also worked for the Florida Department of Transportation for 30+ years.
Dave married Martha Louise Funke on June 28, 1980 at Holy Name of Jesus in West Palm Beach, FL, and they celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing. Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend with a relentlessly funny sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lyda Belle and John Henry Eversfield, his uncle Stanley Eversfield, and cousin Jack Roof.
He is survived by wife Martha Eversfield, daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Shawn Harlan of West Palm Beach, FL, their two children Carter and Luke Harlan; his sister and brother in-law Susan and Jerry Beverly of Titusville, FL and their two children Krista and Kevin; and his cousin Pat Ryder of Columbia, SC.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, Fl from 4-6 pm, with a service at 5:30 pm officiated by Father Aidan Lacy.
