Joe M. Rush, 73 years old, of West Palm Beach, FL, “ one of God’s masterpieces”, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2017 after an extended illness. A devoted and loving husband and father, he is survived by his soulmate and wife, Pamela G. Rush of West Palm Beach, and two wonderful sons, Shawn Rush of West Palm Beach, FL and Brian Rush of Fort Lauderdale. He is also survived by his brother David C. Rush (Cindy) of Jupiter, FL and two grandsons, Tyler Shawn and Preston Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Clifton and Mildred Rush of West Palm Beach, and a brother, Michael.
Joe was born in Greenwood, S.C., a graduate of Forest Hill High School and served in the US Navy in 1963. After leaving the Navy he joined the Heat and Frost Insulators Local #60 in Miami and retired after 40 years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017, at 6:00 p.m.
At St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 100 North Palmway, Lake Worth, FL, 33460. A dinner reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
