Hubert Lee McPherson

Hubert (Mac) McPherson, 91, of North Palm Beach, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2022, due to Congenital Heart Failure. He was born July 21, 1930, in Chicago Illinois, the son of Hubert and Thelma McPherson.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Joan McPherson, son Michael (Nancy) McPherson, Daughters, Pegi (Bob) Harris, Nancy (Nick) Maniotis; 6 Grandchildren Dana (Brad) Wilkerson, Ryan (Angela) Gleason, Brian (Britton) McPherson, Bradley (Kristina) McPherson, Alex, and Nicky (Victoria) Maniotis; 14 great grandchildren; 2 Sisters Ginny, Bette Jo, and a brother Mel. He is predeceased in death by a son, Patrick, and brothers Wade, Bill, and Dick. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Mac was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps where he served as a Gunnery Sergeant in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During his service, he was awarded the Purple Heart and several other Medals of Honor. After 21 years of service, he was honorably discharged. He later retired from Pratt and Whitney after 27 years.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Royal Palm Funeral Home, 5601 Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407. An Inurnment will follow with Military Rites. The family is requesting, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, www.t2t.org.
