She was preceded in death by her mother Marion Thomas, father Reynold Fowler, husband Edward “Dean” Blackwell and brother Charlie Thomas. She is survived by son Craig (Gina) Blackwell, Loxahatchee FL, son Mark (Chris) Blackwell, Dunlap TN, daughter Lyn Scott, Franklin NC, sister Pam Aubrey, Franklin NC, sister Lyn Stone, Charlotte NC, sister-in-law Arline Thomas, Albuquerque NM, as well as 3 grandchildren, Daniel (Amber) Blackwell, Loxahatchee FL, Brandon (Kayla) Blackwell, Dunlap TN, & Kyle Scott, Franklin NC, 6 great-grandchildren & several nieces & nephews.
Helen was born in Newport, RI but made Palm Beach County her home for over 50 years, where she was a prominent real estate agent & later a loan officer. She was a Worthy Matron of The Eastern Star who loved crafts, American history & taking cruises. She was a selfless giver who always put everyone else first.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband of 61 years in Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, West Palm Beach on Saturday the 24th at 11 am, but her beautiful smile & loving nature will live on in the hearts & minds of every life she touched.
