Dearest Guada,

My favorite memory of you included my mother,  who was one of your oldest friend, as well as your sister-in-law.
You'd walk the 3 blocks to our house on a Friday night with a bottle of Manischewitz.  You and Mom would sip on the wine and laugh and laugh as you talked about everything under the sun.  Your weekly happy hour was exactly what you both needed at the time.  It was great to see you both so carefree in those moments.
Your husbands were brothers, so your FRIENDSHIP eventually turned into FAMILY ties.....and a strong family it was!

GUADA. you lived a beautiful, full life with little regrets.  Your life will continue to be remembered in the hearts of all who love you.

Once in a while a sweet, spirited soul enters the world and brings light to all that is around her, and that was you Titi Guada. Your strength and spirit lifted us all. Your smile left prints in our hearts. You loved us so much that you held on tight, until all your strength was gone, and you could no longer hold on, but your strength will never be forgotten. Titi you will always have a special place in my heart. 

Rosie was so blessed to be able to be a part of your last few years of life. She truly enjoyed your company. She is forever grateful for the  memories you left dancing and laughing with her all the time. The reading and makeup times spent together. The salsa dancing imprinted in her heart. In your own ways you taught her to crave to learn about Puerto Rico and the classic salsa music. The stories you would tell her and the smiles I seen in her face as you two shared time together will forever be in my heart.

Titi you will always be remembered, and Rosie will forever hold you in her heart.

Mamita Guada,; During our time together, you made me laugh, you showed me your love, you opened your heart to me, you showed me determination and you didn't even realize it and I forgot to say Thank You.  So here it is Mamita ... Thank you, I love you and will always miss you.  We will meet again, and I will say Thank You again with a hug and a kiss and you can teach me to dance.   

Guada was a lovely Lady who loved her Children and Family very much. There are so many memories to share but one that I would like to share and that resonates with me, is her love of dance. She and her sister Mariana could out dance anyone.  On my 50th birthday I went to Puerto Rico and we  stayed at the Marriott. We went dancing and who do we see on the dance floor Guada and Mariana...dancing the night away.  In 2016 Guada and La Familia came to Janet and David’s New Years Eve party and they had so much fun dancing with La Familia and my Dad...who was the only one that could keep up with them. I came across a quote that reminds me so much of Guada and I would like to share it. “ DANCE- It’s an art which defines me, express my soul. I just flow with the beats whenever I dance. My life is incomplete without Dance...it’s my Love, my Medicine, my Passion. When I dance, I dance with my heart out to feel each and every step. It is a part of me, a part of who I am. It has entered my life, taken over my body. It is in my walk, in my movements and in my thoughts. Guada may you RIP and dance your way up to Heaven and unite with all our loved ones.You will be missed...Dancing Queen 💗💃🏻

Mom you taught me the true love of a Mother.  The love you gave us was so unconditional and true.  I will love you forever and will miss you until we meet again.  Muchos besitos Mami   ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏

My fondest memory of Guada is when she lived with my family.  Though it was for a short period of time, I recall Guada and my mom talking up a storm at all hours of the night.  They loved reminiscing  of their beautiful Borinquen Puerto Rico and them being neighbors when they were just little girls.  Then reconnecting when both moved to NYC.  To me Guada was my precious, loving Aunt. Forever loved. 


Her smile was infectious; her abundant love for her (2) children Mabel and Benny was undeniable.  Survived by her sister,  Mariana "the love between them transcended sisterhood;  they were partners in life (like Thelma and Louise).  Profoundly passionate of their birth home in Puerto Rico, the sisters showcased their love of Salsa music and dance; they looked forward to community events, celebrations and social gatherings, and to all who knew the duo, they were known as the "salsa queens" for sure! 

She adored her (4) grandchidren, Chantel, Tatiana, Miguel and Jillian, and her  (6) great grandchildren.  She loved all her nieces and nephews (too many to count), she would call us her extended kids too, of course that was me for sure! lol.  She brought me instant joy whenever I would see her - growing up in the same building in LES on the same floor - I just always wanted to be with her (at times she'd have to sneak out, but if she heard me cry "I was in") lol.  She taught me about cultural arts especially the PR culture (all the PR day parades I attendended because of her),  that was one of many other things we did, and so I THANK YOU Titi for all the fond fond memories and joy you brought me - I will forever cherish!

Her outlook on life was to never waiver through adversity, instead, let it shield you for the next; be steadfast and never allow anyone to choose what sort of life you will have - learn to forgive so you can  liberate yourself to live your true life, and own your destiny.   Those are lessons of life I learned from her.  And, she did it with such grace!

That's her legacy, the Titi I will forever love and treasure!  Te adore para siempre…xox  your niece, Ivy Lane

38 years of memories, so many favorite ones. Your smile is engraved in my thoughts. The memory I will most treasure is when you told me to dance. Dance when you are sad, lonely, depressed, as your memory was failing you, you still gave me your best loving advice. I will miss you.  I know you're smiling because I can see it.
