I just started thinking about Jane Derby and Oscar de la Renta.  I was 20ish working there and I remember the closeness to you and Jerry.  I was invited to your sons Bar Mitzvah

Our connection with you is tenuous at best; nevertheless I came upon Gerry's obituary today and offer our deepest sympathies. I still remember you and Gerry in Queens with that second bedroom with, I believe, a model of the  Constitution that Gerry had just finished, AND leaning in a corner of that room, what was to become Gerry's  Magnum Opus, the Forrestal.  I am also sure that Gerry gave up, to some extent, eating hamburger as much as he claimed he did.  Again, our thoughts are with you and your family.

I was so very sorry to hear of Gerry's death and have so many great memories  that took place in the Shaw's home during a wonderful childhood in Baldwin Harbor.

He will be remembered in my prayers as is his son, and my close childhood friend, Richie...
